From the beginning of Possible we were clear that one of our fundamental pillars was the commitment to education. Within our means, we have always tried to help as much as possible the young students of various institutions.

Importance of supporting young talent

All of us have been students and we value the role of those external agents who dedicated their time to go to our training centers to explain how the knowledge they taught us could be put into practice by creating companies, products, services, etc.

Perhaps colloquia are not always to everyone’s liking, but the important thing is to understand the application that can be given to what we have learned, the value of teaching and the importance of individual practice to expand our knowledge.

In addition, as a company, we have discovered that there are more ways to help in education beyond colloquia. Funding small student projects, collaborating in workshops and accepting students through internships are some of the many options.

At Possible, we are currently collaborating with some university institutions. Among them we highlight our involvement with the University of Vigo with which it is easier for us to work since it is located in the same municipality as the company and because many of our team members have studied or taught there.

What have we done lately?

Due to the pandemic our collaborations have decreased compared to previous years. However, that is not to say that we have not taken advantage of the opportunities that have been offered to us to continue our mission.

This 2021, we have participated as a patron of one of the teams of the LPRO of U.S. Telecommunications of the UVigo. In this project the students have developed from another perspective one of our star products, WOKEY.

WOKEY is an access controller, it allows from the comfort of your smartphone to give access or remove it to whoever you want, limiting your entry by hours, days, etc. The students of the “WOKEY team” of the LPRO masterfully developed the product using a Raspberry and providing it with extra properties that they considered relevant. An incredible result!

Colloquium at SWYP

In addition, Possible has also participated this year in the National Congress of Students, Women in Engineering and Young Professionals (SWYP) of the UVigo. The company has not missed the opportunity to contribute to a colloquium on artificial intelligence.

We look forward to participating next year by sharing our knowledge on this subject and repeating that wonderful experience.

In conclusion…

Although this academic year is already coming to an end, we hope to continue collaborating in the future to help in the training of young talents. Our commitment to education remains firm and we encourage all students to participate in all these opportunities offered by educational institutions in collaboration with companies and professionals who have taken advantage of the studies they themselves are pursuing.
